How to cancel Kindle Unlimited
On amazon.com
- Sign in at amazon.com and open Account & Lists.
- Choose Memberships & Subscriptions.
- Find Kindle Unlimited and click Kindle Unlimited Settings.
- Click Cancel Kindle Unlimited Subscription and confirm.
On the Amazon or Kindle app
- Kindle apps don't manage subscriptions. Open amazon.com in your phone's browser and follow the steps above.
If billed through Apple or Google
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Kindle Unlimited.
- Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial), then confirm.
What happens to borrowed books
When your membership ends, borrowed KU books are removed from your devices. Your notes, highlights and last page read are saved to your Amazon account, so if you rejoin or buy the book later, they come back.
Refunds
Amazon doesn't refund the unused part of a Kindle Unlimited month - access simply continues until the end. If you were charged after a free trial you forgot to cancel and haven't borrowed anything since, contacting Amazon customer service often gets the charge refunded, though it isn't guaranteed.
