In the US (as of 2026-10-18), discovery+ raised prices: new US subscribers pay $6.99/month with ads and $11.99/month Ad-Free (plus tax) from October 13, 2026; existing subscribers see the new price on their next billing date on or after November 12, 2026 (discovery+ Help: plan price changes). To cancel, open discoveryplus.com → profile → Subscription → Cancel; if a partner such as Apple, Google, Prime Video Channels or Roku billed you, cancel there instead. Deleting the app does not cancel (discovery+ Help: cancel discovery+).

Check your billing date. If it falls on or after November 12, 2026, this increase lands on your next renewal unless you cancel first.

How to cancel discovery+
If discovery+ bills you on the web
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Open your profile → Subscription.
- Choose Cancel and finish every confirmation screen.
- Note the date access ends.
If Apple bills you
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap discovery+.
- Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial), then confirm.
If Google Play bills you
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon (top right).
- Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select discovery+.
- Tap Cancel subscription, pick a reason and confirm.
If a partner (Prime Video Channels, Roku, TV provider) bills you
- Open that partner account and find the discovery+ subscription or channel.
- Cancel it there and confirm.
- Deleting the discovery+ app does not cancel anything (discovery+ Help).
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- discoveryplus.com, the store, or the partner account shows the plan not renewing.
- No new discovery+ charge posts after the current period ends - including no charge at the new $6.99 / $11.99 rate.

Partner-billed plans
Apple, Google, Prime Video Channels, Roku and TV-provider plans are canceled with that partner; the discovery+ website cannot stop them.
