Algolia price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Algolia pricing lists a Free plan (about 10K search requests / 50K records) and Grow pay-as-you-go (10K requests + 100K records included, then about $0.50 per 1K requests and $0.40 per 1K records). Grow Plus and Elevate cost more. Cancel in Dashboard → Billing (Algolia Support).
Removing the search client lowers usage but does not cancel a paid plan alone.

How to cancel Algolia
In Billing
- Sign in to the Algolia Dashboard as an owner.
- Open Billing / Plan.
- Cancel paid Grow / Elevate or remove the payment method.
- Delete applications if you also want indexing to stop.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Plan shows Free / canceled.
- No new Algolia usage invoice posts after that.

Common problems
- Only removed InstantSearch UI. API calls can continue.
- Left replicas inflating records. Record billing rises.
- Non-owner tried to cancel. Need permissions.
- Only deleted one API key. Billing continues.
