PlanetScale price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), PlanetScale pricing / Docs show Base single-node Postgres from $5/month (HA PS-5 clusters from about $15/month in us-east-1), plus storage, backups, and egress. Scaler Pro was renamed to Base. Cancel by deleting databases and adjusting organization billing (PlanetScale Docs: plans).
Export dumps before you delete. Uninstalling the CLI does not cancel.
Organization admin required. Branch/production deletes are irreversible.

How to cancel PlanetScale
In PlanetScale Billing
- Sign in at app.planetscale.com.
- Dump/export data you need.
- Delete databases / clusters you no longer want.
- Open Organization → Billing and cancel any remaining subscription.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- No paid clusters remain.
- Organization billing shows canceled / zero recurring.

Common problems
- Only paused traffic. Cluster still bills.
- Deleted a branch, not production. Production keeps billing.
- Non-admin tried to cancel org billing. Need permissions.
- Expected a free Hobby plan. Free plan is gone for new DBs.
