MongoDB Atlas price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), MongoDB Atlas pricing lists M0 free forever, Flex roughly $8–$30/month usage-capped, and dedicated M10 from about $0.08/hour (~$57/month continuous) plus backups/transfer. Stop billing by terminating paid clusters, then remove payment methods / close the organization (Atlas Docs: billing).
Leaving a cluster running continues hourly charges. Uninstalling drivers/CLI does not cancel.
Organization Owner required. Take snapshots/exports before terminate.

How to cancel MongoDB Atlas
Stop Atlas billing
- Sign in at cloud.mongodb.com.
- Terminate every paid Flex/dedicated cluster you no longer need.
- Delete backup snapshots you do not need.
- Remove the payment method or close/leave the organization when the balance is clear.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- No paid clusters remain.
- No new Atlas invoice posts after that.

Common problems
- Only paused an app. Cluster still bills hourly.
- Left backups. Snapshot storage can bill.
- Non-owner tried to close org. Need Owner role.
- Expected M0 to cover production. Free tier has hard limits.
