Tailscale price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Tailscale pricing lists Personal free (up to 6 users), Standard at $8/user/month, and Premium at $18/user/month, billed per user seat (devices unlimited). Cancel / downgrade in Admin console → Billing → Cancel subscription (Tailscale Docs / support).
Removing users lowers future seats. Uninstalling the client does not cancel the org plan.
Billing admin / owner required. Export ACLs/config before you wipe the tailnet.

How to cancel Tailscale
In Admin Billing
- Sign in at login.tailscale.com.
- Open Admin console → Settings → Billing.
- Choose Cancel / downgrade to Personal and confirm.
- Remove users/devices you no longer need.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Plan shows Personal / canceled after the period.
- No new Tailscale seat charge posts after that.

- Only logged out one device. Org plan continues.
- Non-billing admin tried to cancel. Need permissions.
- Expected device-based pricing. Seats are per user.
