Cancel Flexible anytime in Admin console → Billing; Annual plans charge remaining commitment if you cancel early (Google Workspace Help).
Deleting a user does not cancel the subscription alone on Annual license counts.

- Sign in to admin.google.com as Super Admin.
- Open Billing → Subscriptions.
- Cancel Google Workspace and confirm.
- Export Drive/Mailbox data first (Takeout / export tools).
Annual / Fixed-Term
- Read the remaining-commitment rules in Billing Help.
- Cancel only if you accept the remaining balance — or wait until renewal to reduce licenses.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Subscription shows canceled / ending.
- No new Workspace charge posts after that (or final commitment invoice is paid).
