In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Empower’s Personal Dashboard tracking tools are commonly free; some third-party guides still mention a Premium ~$14.99/month add-on (Confirm live — may be discontinued). Investment advisory charges a percentage of assets under management (not a flat cancel-button SaaS). Cancel Premium in account settings if present; to end advisory, contact your advisor / Empower support; to close the Dashboard login, email support per Terms (Empower).
Unlinking a bank account does not cancel advisory fees on managed assets.

How to cancel Empower
If you pay Dashboard Premium
- Sign in to Empower.
- Open Account / Subscription / Premium.
- Cancel Premium and confirm.
- Save confirmation.
If you pay for advisory
- Contact your Empower advisor or support.
- Request termination of advisory services.
- Arrange transfer/close of managed accounts as needed.
If closing the free Dashboard
- Follow Terms: email support from your account address with CANCEL in the subject (Confirm current Terms).
- Unlink banks if you also want data removed.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Premium/advisory shows ended and no new Empower fee posts.
- Or Dashboard close is confirmed by support.
