As of 2026-10-18, ChatGPT pricing / Help lists Plus $20/month and Pro tiers about $100 / $200 / $500 per month (Confirm live). Cancel in Settings → Billing → Cancel plan (Canceling your ChatGPT subscription).
Deleting chats does not cancel Plus.
Cancel ≥24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. IAP cancel in Apple/Google.

How to cancel ChatGPT Plus or Pro
Web billing
- Sign in at chatgpt.com.
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Choose Cancel plan → confirm.
- Use Plus/Pro until the period ends.
If Apple bills you
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap ChatGPT.
- Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial), then confirm.
If Google Play bills you
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon (top right).
- Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select ChatGPT.
- Tap Cancel subscription, pick a reason and confirm.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Billing shows Free after the paid end.
- No new OpenAI ChatGPT charge posts.

Common problems
- Only deleted chats. Plus renews.
- Canceled web but paid via Apple. IAP continues.
- Canceled <24h before renew. Next charge may still post.
- Confused Claude / Gemini bill. Different vendor.
